major failure in startup

sorry i could not writ any thing as i use on screen keyboard , major failure
in startup , could not change language , the top bar and side bar is not show

Mohamed omar, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

1) Is this something that started to happen after an update? If so, which specifically?

2) Could you please provide a cell phone video or screencast of the problem via https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Screencast ?

3) Could you please remove all installed PPAs and advise if this is still reproducible?

4) To see if this is resolved in your release, could you please update your HWE stack as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack and advise to the results?

thanks Christopher for the reply, but it happens that it was a production machine and i could not lose another day, so i swept every thing after backup and make a fresh installation.

Yes that was after automatic update not sure which package but i do doubt compiz, the error was that the unity fail, the title bar of all windows, the top main bar , and the launch sidebar , also the keyboard shortcut for language switch was not working.

i have cairo-doc which is bottom icon bar -simulate mac- it was working perfectly.

i have trying many things. but nothing work, the idea of this could happen again in haunting me, and i do not know what to do with update form now on.
