Bug Description
Although libcdio is in universe, the gstreamer-cdio plugin isn't built, and it would be good to have it.
The cdparanoia plugin which is currently used for cd audio has a number of issues, such as hanging programs if the cd is ejected while in use, which can't be fixed due to design flaws in the cdparanoia library. These issues affect any program the uses libcdparanoia, including the cdparanoia program itself.
At some point in the future it would be good to get this into main, but building it is the first step. If both the cdio and cdparanoia plugins are installed, cdio will get preferred because it has a higher rank.
