i cannot start eviacam on lubuntu 17.10

eviacam:
  Installed: 2.1.1-1build1
  Candidate: 2.1.1-1build1
  Version table:

I expected it to open the eviacam app, but then i get the error (eviacam:10137): Gtk-ERROR **: GTK+ 2.x symbols detected. Using GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3 in the same process is not supported. Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

still happening i tried passing options in the command line but none seem to do anything. changed cameras did not help either , looks like a software bug i am running ubuntu nothing i do seems to have any effect on the errors i am getting, best that we wait for the developers to update and uplaod a new code.
