Bug Description
Since Ubuntu 17, I have had the following bug, I assumed it would be fixed without my input but has not.
When opening some package, sometimes the icon appears on the left, but no window will appear. This occurs most often with any pdf software, but also Libre, but also shot-well, cheese or mainly graphics programs. The problem goes away if the software is closed and restarted, but sometimes this requires several attempts. This also occurs sometimes (the most annoying) if the software is iconized and then re-enlarged. Also, the default window size, only for graphics software and pdf, opens windows that occupy 2 or three work spaces. If the internal defaults are corrected, the same window size opens regardless. This makes it difficult to size a window every time it is opened. As this occurs across several programs, I do not know how to collect the proper bug information.
