http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.16-rc1/ refers to 0006-configs-based-on-Ubuntu-4.15.0-9.10.patch which, at line 1771 has

+# CONFIG_VBOXGUEST is not set

I am not in any position to demand a rebuild ahead of next upstream RC, but I *was* looking forward to the support.

Seems to be fixed with rc4:

CONFIG_VBOXGUEST=m
