Bug Description

Ubuntu 7.10
Open Office 2.3

I have been trying to build an address file database (not using the wizard) and import an .xls file into base.

There were a number of tasks open in the task bar (approx. 6).

I become aware that it was not possible to activate 'Applications', 'Places' etc

The desk top remains active, short cuts on the Desk top will function.

The machine cannot be shut down by clicking the 'Log off', 'switch user' button.

I Apologise in advance if this is not regarded as an adequate bug report, but I have to start somewhere.

Do you still have this problem with openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-9ubuntu2 in Ubuntu 8.10?
