Bug Description

In 3.0.2:

Steps:
1. Perform a search set at the consortium level.
2. Click Limit to Available Items on search results page.

In the OPAC, the screen refreshes as normal with the smaller set of search results. Unchecking the box refreshes the screen again showing the original set of search results.

In the web client, checking the box refreshes the screen but gives the "Sorry, no entries were found for..." response. (Unchecking the box refreshes and shows all results as expected.)

However, if the search is scoped to a specific branch or system, checking the box works fine in the web client - it's only a problem when scoped to the consortium level.

(I was not able to duplicate this problem on the 3.0.0 community demo server.)

This sounds like a duplicate of bug 1745190, or very close to that -- however, Terran you identify a wrinkle that the original report doesn't (CONS level search vs. scoped search). If I have a chance today or tomorrow I'll look into both a little further.

Terran,
There were a number of fixes related to availability that were added to 3.0.3. bug 1730758 was one. Despite its title, it was not restricted to Located URIs, but was also related to any record with a bib source (in our case, all records). Also bug 1736419, where I mentioned a limit to available problem down in the comments that appeared to be fixed by the time we were done merging all of the fixes.

We are still seeing a limit by available problem in 3.0.3, but it's different from the one you describe. bug 1745446

I believe this particular bug is probably fixed in 3.0.3, but since it doesn't exactly match the issues that were reported, let's keep it open for now.

Thanks Andrea and Kathy, I was looking at the others and this one seemed to be slightly different to me. Glad to know it's fixed in 3.0.3!

Has anyone been able to confirm that this problem is indeed fixed after 3.0.3?

I searched on our test server running 3.2:

1. Author search for patterson, james set to all of PINES. Retrieves 1660 records.
2. Limit to available on search results. Results refresh with 1501 records. Includes records with no holdings attached, but others have at least one available copy.
