Bluetooth does not start turn it on and notting happens
i have an asus x541uv with rtl8723be its wifi and bluetooth in 1 bord wifi works

im new at ubuntu but i like it more then windows10 and since i cant install windows 7 dude to leptop restrictions this is better:D all the support is apreciated

It appears you have recurring "pcieport" errors in your kernel log (see CurrentDmesg.txt and JournalErrors.txt).

This looks like a hardware fault (I've had the same issue myself... with a faulty PCIe card slot). But in case it's not a hardware fault, let's start by assigning the issue to the Linux kernel.

P.S. You will also need to have package 'linux-firmware' installed. So in case that makes a difference, please try 'sudo apt install linux-firmware' and then reboot.

Please try latest mainline kernel, the btusb issue might gets fixed.

hi i did all of the instruction but no change i install the 16 version and 17 i try different versions and flavors of ubuntu and no change and i went back to windows 10 and the bluetooth is fully operational in windows but the pci error still persists so il send it to the warranty since the laptop is 1 month old

hi so after a talk with the asus support the error is driver related
now out of curiosity i changed the wifi card added the rtl8723be from x541u to an old asus k52n
wifi works on the card blue tooth pairs but does not connect
how can i add log data from my old pc im still running ubuntu on it since its great as a file server and to watch movies on the tv

Laur, if you have changed the wifi card then please open a new bug for that.

To avoid confusion we need each bug to be about one particular wifi card.
