Bug Description

Binary package hint: dolphin

I'm using an older version of Ubuntu, so this may have been fixed already, but...

If I connect to an sftp server without specifying a directory (eg, "sftp://josh@remotehost"), dolphin displays my home directory. OK, so far so good.
Now, if I try to create a new folder by, eg, right-click->Create New->Folder, it gives me an error that I don't have permission.

Apparently, it's displaying my home directory but trying to write to the root directory!
If I change the path to specify (eg, sftp://josh@remotehost/home/josh), then everything works fine.

I think dolphin should mimic konqueror's behavior of defaulting to the hom path if none is specified in the uri, but I'd be happy with not doing that so long as it actually displays the right directory.

Is this still an issue with newer versions of Kubuntu? Could you test with Kubuntu Intrepid?

The problem appears to be fixed in Intrepid. It now explicitly appends my home path to the end of the URI after making the connection, and attempts to immediately create a new directory worked correctly.

Thanks!
