PDF export fails with message "Successful export..."

I'm doing a lot of thermo and calculus homework in Lyx. Lyx sometimes gets into a state where it silently refuses to generate PDFs, with no meaningful error message.

I can sometimes generate the PDF by opening a new document, pasting contents, and generating immediately. If that new document is saved and re-opened, the error happens again.

I'll upload a progress log demonstrating the error separately.

If I clipboard the document, close Lyx entirely, open it (but without opening the failure document), and paste my clipboard into a fresh document, I can export. Here is the log of a successful export.

I just stumbled on this bug and did not manage to reproduce it. In case you are still a LyX user, is it something that still happens to you?
