Bug Description

In Ubuntu 14.04 I recently updated firefox 57.0 to 58.0+build6-0ubuntu0.14.04.1. Installation was smooth, but the firefox screen has been blank since. Everything is working again if I downgrade to 57.0.4+build1-0ubuntu0.14.04.1

Is anybody experiencing this problem?

Being concerned about security (it was a security update), I have switched to firefox-esr. Does this sound reasonable?

It seems to have been caused by the AdBlock Plus extension. Disabling it is enough to bring things back in order in firefox 58
