Bug Description
I use Ubuntu 16.04 with proposed repository activated. Now there is an update of grub packages which fails:
- grub-common
- grub-efi-amd64
- grub-efi-amd64-bin
- grub-efi-
- grub2-common
- shim
This update want change shim package from version 0.9+1474479173.
What happened: update manager fails to complete the update and proposes to do a partial upgrade
What is expected: update manager completes the update without error.

Changed in shim-signed (Ubuntu): | |
status: | New → Fix Released |
This failure to upgrade cleanly is due to the shim-signed FTBFS: https:/ /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ shim-signed/ 1.33.1~ 16.04.1/ +build/ 14262252
which given the Breaks against earlier versions make new shim and old shim-signed non co-installable.
