Bug Description

Not sure I report this correctly.
Since updating to 18.04, all chrome extensions capturing the desktop (es. Awesome Screenshot and Screencastify) don't work anymore.
They capture just a black screen.

Thanks for your report. This is intended and a security feature of wayland. Meanwhile you can select 'Ubuntu on Xorg' in the logging screen to start xorg instead and screen capture applications should work.

Hi. Screencasting and screenshotting is quite different in Wayland logins compared to X11 of the past.

If you would like those features to work for now then please try logging in to "Ubuntu on Xorg".
