Bug Description
This shows up in top as "webkitwebproces". If email editing window is closed, memory consumption returns to normal. If I save the email as a draft, then re-open it, memory usage is OK.
Evolution also freezes for about two-three seconds every now and then when trying to type, paste, or erase text in the email. This is on Ubuntu 17.10.

If this is reproducible and if your machine allows and if this still happens in 3.28, could you provide valgrind logs? Something like:
G_SLICE= always- malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly valgrind --num-callers=50 --tool=memcheck --leak-check=full --show- leak-kinds= definite --track-origins=yes evolution &>valgrindevolo g.txt
