Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

As far as i know Network Manager runs all scripts inside /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d when connecting to a network. But this doesn't seem to work. For testing i created a simple script

/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/02test
---
#!/bin/sh -e
echo nmtest >> /tmp/nmlog.txt
---

and set the rights according to specs

---
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 39 2007-12-05 22:33 02test
---

But when i start network manager (my computer is connected to a router running dhcp via cable) nothing happens. /tmp/nmlog.txt stays empty. This looks like the script doesn't get executed when Network Manager opens the connection.

After restarting the computer my scripts get executed. It looks like restarting NetworkManager is not enough to execute thos scripts... Marking this bug as invalid.
