Bug Description

After installation 4.14.11-041411-generic (x86_64) kernel on Linux Ubuntu 16.04, RF mouse and keyboard did not work if plugged via the USB hub and after several attempts to connect them the Linux hanged at all with the following error in the syslog:

This is the mainline kernel that can be used for testing. Are you also seeing this issue with supported Ubuntu kernels?

Hi Joseph, no this issue has not occurred on any other Ubuntu kernels up to 4.14. In particular, 4.13 works fine and is much more stable (does not hangs and has no issues with the periphery unlike 4.14).
It seems all the required information that could be provided was provided from my side as the attachment on the initial reporting of this bug.
