Bug Description

I first noticed this problem in Ubuntu 16.04. It didn't occur in 14.04. I don't use non-LTS versions so I'm not exactly sure when it started.

Basically, the display keeps resetting to the default without me doing anything. So I've customized it like so:

gsettings set de.mh21.indicator-multiload.graphs.load enabled true
gsettings set de.mh21.indicator-multiload.graphs.cpu enabled true
gsettings set de.mh21.indicator-multiload.graphs.disk enabled true
gsettings set de.mh21.indicator-multiload.graphs.net enabled true
gsettings set de.mh21.indicator-multiload.graphs.swap enabled true
gsettings set de.mh21.indicator-multiload.graphs.mem enabled true

And it looks like the attached file indicator-multiload-customized.png

But for whatever reason it keeps getting reset. I dug further into it, and apparently the cause is indicator-expression-index keeps getting set to different values. One time it was set to 1, and it looked like the attached file indicator-multiload-reset-1.png:

$ dconf read /de/mh21/indicator-multiload/general/indicator-expression-index
1

Another time it was set to 6, and it looked like the attached file indicator-multiload-reset-2.png

The workaround is very simple:

dconf reset /de/mh21/indicator-multiload/general/indicator-expression-index

But the problem is that indicator-expression-index keeps getting changed on its own without any intervention on my part.

In case it helps, I don't believe I've encountered this bug using Ubuntu 18.04. I only use LTS releases so I can't speak for any other versions.

Thanks!
