Bug Description

I really like how the eeschema behaves when run for the first time after installation.

Could it be possible to implement his also in pcbnew?

As the fp-lib-table and sym-lib-table are also contained in new libraries, this would make it easy to document how to use the libraries and place them anywhere on the system.

I am not sure what behavior you are indicating. Are you talking about the default sym-lib-table file being copied to the user config folder or are you talking about the symbol library remapping performed on existing schematics?

Sorry if I was unclear. I am talking about default sym-lib-table file being copied. On a fresh system when you install and run eeschema for the first time you get a "Configure Global Symbol Library Table" dialog window. On the window you can choose whether to:
- copy default sym-lib-table
- supply your own sym-lib-table
- create empty sym-lib-table

Having the same dialog on the first run of the pcbnew would bring pcbnew and eeschema even closer. While I have the chance: kudos for the new eeschema library system.

Thank you very much for your support.

I understand now what you are asking. It probably wont happen until the stable version 6 development starts as we are currently in feature freeze for the version 5 release.

I could have sworn this was already a feature, but it turns out this was actually something I was working on nearly two years ago before I had to stop for health reasons.

I seem to remember this being requested in a previous bug report but I cannot find it.
