Gala doesn't run on the Greeter, so this issue is invalid for Gala.

This was fixed in Granite with the release published last month

Changed in gala:
status: New → Invalid

@danrabbit I have updated all of my packages and I'm still seeing this behavior. Is there something I need to do? Since there's still a problem, maybe closing isn't the right idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It might require a new release of Greeter in which case you could open an issue report here: https://github.com/elementary/greeter/issues

But in any case, Gala is not related at all, so this issue report is "invalid" for this tracker
