Bug Description

whenever I "show desktop" either through alt+tab or through my toolbar, xpad will not start up again when I try to access, again either through alt+tab or on my toolbar. Please fix, xpad is the only sticky notes app that packs all the functionality I need into a sleek package, cheers!

Hi Jake,

Which OS and Xpad are you using?
Are you able to verify if xpad is actually still running, although not visibile?

Hi Arthur,

After attempting to install a newer version of xpad not from
the software center, and I believe in installing gtk3, I no longer have the
issue. Now the only issue I am having is that the position of the pad is
not saving in the config file, but again this is for version 4.5 on ubuntu
16.04. When I try to install the newer versions, like 4.9 and 5, the
project cannot compile because of depreciated gtk functions I believe. The
output is the following

sudo ./configure && make && make install

Hi Jake,

Do I understand correctly that you have resolved the issue yourself?
If so, can I close this bug report?

the bug I opened is solved, the new bug is not, have you not seen this
compilation error before?

Hi Jake,

Regarding the compilation error "undefined reference to
gtk_menu_popup_at_pointer", I am guessing that the GTK (development) version in your Linux distribution is not new enough. This GTK function has been introduced in GTK v3.22.

Can you verify that this package is sufficiently new and if so, retry?
