Note, on 17.10 defautl configuration libnss-resolve is not longer used by default, so you may remove it.

Also note:
Failed to enable unit: Unit file /etc/systemd/system/systemd-resolved.service is masked.
dpkg: error processing package libnss-resolve:amd64 (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

This is not the default configuration, please do:
$ sudo systemctl unmask systemd-resolved

To return your system into the default configuration.

Changed in systemd (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
