Can you please elaborate on what you mean by accent keys?

I'm using a French keyboard layout where "é" and "è" are primary keys, and they are input correctly in libreoffice. I also tested a Spanish layout with a dead key for the acute accent, and I was able to input letters such as "é" by combining the dead key and "e".

I'm not familiar with Portuguese layouts, please explain how you input accentuated characters and how it's not working. Thanks!

So, specifically, the characters that I can not type are: ~ ^ ` ´ ¨

I insert tight accented characters in the accent character and then the letter, but in LibreOffice, the letter with accent simply does not appear.

I found that holding down the AltGr key on my keyboard I can type the characters ~ ´
but this would not work in case I want to type the character É, for example.

I hope you understood. :D

This looks very similar to https://github.com/sergiusens/telegram-snap/issues/4.
I can still reproduce the issue with the telegram snap (version 1.1.23), but I'm not seeing the problem with the libreoffice snap. I wonder why it's affecting libreoffice on your system.

What version of Ubuntu is this? And which desktop environment? Are you running X11 or wayland?

I use Linux Mint, which, as you may know, relies on Ubuntu 16.04 with x11.

Hello Mr. Tilloy! I'm Gabriel (the guy who reported the accent bug in
LibreOffice snap version).

I was thinking... if you can not reproduce the bug, how about using the
TeamViewer?
