Bug Description

This feature request is for GDB support for access to Power registers that are currently not accessible: PPR, DSCR, TAR, EBB, PMU and HTM registers.

The feature is currently being worked on, so no upstream code is available yet.

Sorry, I'm afraid there's nothing upstream yet, still working on it.

IBM, 18.10 feature freeze is on the 23rd of Aug, any news on the upstream status of this patch?

Hi Manjo, Pedro said late last week there were still unresolved issues with the patches upstream. I think this needs to move to 19.10 while that gets sorted out - he said it was going to be at least late September on it....

I checked this source package: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdb/8.2.50.20190214-0ubuntu1

If that is indeed the one to be used for 19.04, the patches for this feature are already included there.

Correct, plus various other prerequisite patches that are also present in the source package.
