Bug Description

Binary package hint: oooqs2-kde

I use oooqs2-kde 1.0-0ubuntu1 in Kubuntu 7.10.

OpenOffice 2.3 is installed, with latest updates.

oooqs2 is in a KDE startup.

After a reboot - it works fine - it is an icon in a tray, if i open any OpenOffice's file or launch OO directly - it is showed fast, but if i close all OO windows - all soffice.bin processes closes, and if i open any file or launch OO again - it starts again, showing OO logo and loading with it's progress-bar.

I can confirm this and was ready to report this bug:

Using Kubuntu Hardy with OpenOffice.org 2.4.0.

When starting Ooqs2 it loads OOo in the background, like this:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin -nologo -nodefault -splash-pipe=5

When starting e.g. OOo Writer it works as expected. When closing e.g. OOo Writer, the OOo background process is gone. Starting e.g. OOo Writer again will start up it normal with splash screen.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
