Sound-juicer extractor closed unexpectedly

Running Ubuntu 7.04 from CD. loaded Audio CD in 2nd drive, opened sound-juicer and when I clicked on play sound-juicer 2.16.3 closed. System is new build using Asus M2N-E SLI motherboard, onboard sound, 4GB memory.
