Bug Description

Calibre v 3.12
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

The last couple of Kindle books I have purchased seem to have a new format: book_asset.db and EBOK.mbp
Epubsoft Kindle DRM Removal Version: 9.2.5 doesn't recognize the new format either.
I'm at a loss to know how to proceed.

KFX (a new ebook format from Amazon) is not an actual file, it is a bundle of
separate files, and it is encrypted, so it is not possible to convert or view
it in calibre, see http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263902 for
details. This might change in the future, if un-encrypted versions of KFX books
become widely available.

In the meantime, you can get the normal azw3 version of the book by going to
your "Manage my content and devices" page on amazon.com and downloading the
book from there.

Go to amazon.com in your web browser
  Click "Account & Lists"
Click "Manage your content and devices"
Click the button with three dots next to the name of the book you want to download
Click download & transfer via USB
Choose which Kindle you want to download the book for

Once the file is downloaded, add it to calibre by dragging and dropping it onto
the calibre books list or using the Add Books button in calibre.

If you do not have an actual Kindle, the above method will not work, instead,
you can try downloading an older version of Kindle for PC instead, as described
here:
