Tickr steals the focus at each refresh on Ubuntu 17.10

Bug Description

After upgrading to Ubuntu 17.10, tickr keeps appearing to the top. Clicking on a window temporarily put it on top of tickr, but at the next refresh tickr is back on top of everything.

It turns out that tickr is not stealing the focus. The following line in tickr_main.c is the culprit: in update_win_dims_and_loc()

gtk_window_unmaximize(GTK_WINDOW(env->win));

Commenting this out, tickr stays below.
