Bug Description

similar to #1236951 but when upgrading from 17.04 to 17.10

When upgrading Ubuntu from 17.04 to 17.10 an entry in an updmap in TeX caused the TeX upgrade to fail which caused the whole upgrade to fail. This also happened as I upgraded from 16.10 to 17.04 but then caused the system to not be bootable.

There has been no problems with my TeX installation nor the font in question (minion pro).
