I noticed that on an Ubuntu desktop that's using Chromium that references to the Chrome config directory (~/.config/google-chrome/) won't work; they would need to be adjusted to refer to ~/.config/chromium/ instead.

The installation documentation should be adjusted and any scripts that are devised to help the user maintain their Chrome/Chromium config and point it at the extension should support Chrome and Chromium.
