Bug Description
It happened once that britney/iterate.py hanged for 2 months because of a swift upload going wrong. This should not happen. We need to make sure that either there are no possible deadlocks in the code or, easier, create a watchdog process that would make sure no iterating process holds the lock for longer than x hours.
