Thank you for your bug report, in which situations would you expect to see badges?

Getting notifications from web services. For instance I opted to get notification from YouTube and Facebook, I get notification pop down, but no badges.

On this note, do I need a Firefox extension for progress bar and badges to work? If so will that disable multi=processing?
