Shutter shows graphic failure during partial screenshot

Bug Description
If I try to take a screenshot of a certain area, the screen shows a graphic failure. Same for the full screen mode. The taken foto shows failures. It worked for ubuntu 17.04 but since I upgraded to 17.10 it shows this behavior. Shutter version is 0.93.1.
In the attachement is a scrrenshot I took while being in the partial screenshot modus of shutter.

This is due to Ubuntu 17.10 switching to Wayland as default, you can switch to the X session in the login screen, if you want to continue using Shutter.
