API not working on ubuntu 17.10

When runnng ZM on Ubuntu 17.10 opening http://server/zm/api/ shows the following error:

@steve-gilvarry can you explain your comment? Did you figure out a workaround? I'm not familiar with how these modules are built. I'd be glad to try/test something if there are details.

The problem is this patch as it removed the packaging of the crud plugin: https://anonscm.debian.org/git/collab-maint/zoneminder.git/commit/?id=2a3db2ae513a64dce5a1123ab3a979b4785ba49e

@Matt N. Any chance for a temporary solution by any chance? Need the damn API so bad :(

@mmn100 thanks for fingering the patch. Perhaps the intent was to split the submodules out as separate packages?
