can't authorize with my password, synaptic just exists without starting program

Bug Description

Synaptic and gufw do the same thing, just exists without starting after using my password, won't authorize the programs...U-1704 works great!!..Had to use the terminal for ufw, but Synaptic WILL NOT AUTHORIZE and can't use the program with U1710.. -David R. <email address hidden>

Synaptic worked with Ubuntu 17.04 64bit but crashes immediately after password entry. PC System with Gigabyte mother board i7 processor.
