I am afraid I don't have much more information. Something crashed and prompted the automatic bug report. I didn't notice any other symptom so that I am not sure what happened. I wasn't doing anything specific at the time.
This is a fresh install of Ubuntu 17.10, gnome-shell is version 3.26.1-0ubuntu4.
