Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtkeyboard

I have set up the Canadian Multilingual Keyboard type. Using this I can successfully type éèÉÈàÀçÇ^¨`
I should be able to make an e with a circumflex on top by hitting [ followed by e. I cannot. Nor can I make any other kind of 'composite' character.

I have tried defining a 'compose' key through the keyboard setup utility, also to no avail.

I'm running 7.10 on a Dell Inspiron E1405 - keyboard type is listed as Dell Latitude Laptop. I am also running SCIM.

Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make ubuntu better.

Have you enabled and selected the compose key in your configuration of the keyboard.

Thanks
