Unity Search does not scale icons properly

For application launcher files that specify and xpm or png file for an icon, in a Unity launcher search window, the icon is not scaled properly. In some cases, the icons are actually scaled larger. The icons should be scaled to a size consistent with the other icons in the window. Below are the desktop files for the large icons shown in the attachment.

I cannot upload multiple attachments, but for example, nx48.xpm is a 48 x 48 pixel image, but it is being scaled up quite a bit.

Icons are displayed properly for this kind of icon specification.
