Scapy reports "unknown version"

Bug Description
On starting scapy (2.3.3-1 on Artful), it reports "Welcome to Scapy (unknown.version)"
This has working fine till 2.3.2, where it used to report "Welcome to Scapy (2.3.2)"

I can confirm this issue in python-scapy 2.3.3-1 on Ubuntu Artful. I believe this is the same issue as the Debian bug report, in which case it seems like it has been fixed, though not synced to Ubuntu yet.
