Bug Description
Inkscape v 0.92,...Windows 7 Pro.... quad core, 64 bit, 156 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD.....all updates to Windows and Inkscape are current.
From time to time, I will have an inkscape item that issues an "internal error" notice and forces me to shutdown, often loosing all my unsaved work. This usually occurs when I am trying to send things to the printer. There is no relative information in the notice, and I can open another drawing and it will print just fine. I use inkscape daily and this occurs about once n every 50 or 60 drawings...very erratic. I am old and tired and consistently prepare my drawings without anything fancy..no transforms ore weird objects in the drawings.
I can send this to a pdf file and print from there, but often the drawing sizes are very specific and scale is more important than content. When it goes to a pdf file, control of scaling is virtually lost...requiring me to print and re-print some drawings several times. I would like to print directly from inkscape without all the workarounds or trying to beat the system.
Is there a way that I can troubleshoot what is going on to help find the problem? Can you suggest an alternative to the pdf approach? I can send a sample of a failing (to print) file for you to look at.
