package systemd 234-2ubuntu12 failed to install/upgrade: package systemd is already installed and configured

After rebooted from the last update I logged in the screen reset and then I received this error. This maybe related to error report 1721346 as I ran the folowing command before I rebooted -
sudo apt purge xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
