Lens Flare Effect

It would be great if Inkscape had a simple Lens Flare generator. I have
used these in illustrator quite a lot. Perhaps it's a problem with the SVG
format, but when I converted my .pdf file (from Illustrator) to a .svg and
then opened it in Inkscape, I the lens flare effect was dark instead of
light, and I couldn't find a way to produce a lens flare effect in
Inkscape.

Other than that, thanks for the great program. This would just make
Inkscape even better!

Thanks for taking the time to suggest ways to improve Inkscape.

Please provide more description. If possible please point to
other programs which we could look at. If you can provide
screenshots or mockups it might also be helpful and encourage
developers to look at your request sooner.
