Progressbar in copy file to USB-Drive shows wrong information

Bug Description

Progress bar should show how much of file was written on USB/Drive not how much of file was read into cache(or buffer). this causes that progress bar goes really quick to 100% and then friezes. Which causes data loss, if user unmount usb drive at 100%.
PS. there was another bug reported in 2009 and 2011. but there is no solution. its very frustrating that that small bug which costs so little time to solve and makes usability of system MUCH better, takes almost 10 years to solve.
PPS. please solve finally this problem, so I can further recommend Ubuntu to my less experienced friends.

What Ubuntu version do you use? Is that still an issue? If so could you report it upstream on https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues
