Bug Description

Hello,

2 bugs with "dash to dock" v61-1 :

- It is no longer possible to access the dashtodock parameter (nothing happens)
+
- There is a big bug if i activate the button from "gnome tweak tool" and this time we can not even start the session

(but tested only in VM)

(edit 01/10 : The bug is present ONLY if you install dashtodock in command line with the package in the repositories : sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-dashtodock, with gnome software/extension.gnome.org it's OK)

Can't confirm your problem: works as usual from tweaks tool.
What is your screenshot about ? does not see the relationship with what you have described.

In the video capture i install dashtodock then i go to gnome-tweak-tool, i press the button to go into the settings and nothing happens.

Then I try to activate the button to activate the extension (although normally it is not necessary) and then it crashes the session (black screen then return to the login screen and can not reconnect.

I specify that I only tested in virtual machine with virtualbox (maybe there is not this bug on physical machine).

I understood the problem :

If we install "dashtodock" from "gnome software" (with the source: extension.gnome.org), it works without problem.

The bug is present only if you install dashtodock in command line with the package in the repositories : sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-dashtodock

so it's finally not very serious, you just have to use the right method to install dashtodock, only some advanced user who uses the command line could get caught.

I can't reproduce it on today's bionic version, with dashtodock 63-1. I confirm it's dash to dock and not ubuntu dock running as I have access to the parameters option), do you mind giving it a try again? Thanks!
