Bug Description
To view JUST my illustration on the screen, i have to:
01. select View>Fullscreen,
02. Uncheck about seven items individually in the fly-out menu beyond
View>Show/Hide,
03. to resume work, i then toggle each of the seven items individually
again, in the fly-out menu of View>Show/Hide.
besides, i cannot hide the actual inkscape menu.
suggested solution:
a) Full-screen mode should be a toggle. Selecting it should HIDE all the
CHECKED items in View>Show/Hide.
b) Selecting it again should UNHIDE all the CHECKED items in
View>Show/Hide.
selecting fullscreen mode with a shift or an alt or ctrl, should toggle the
inkscape menubar as well.
Designers often wish to see their artwork on nothing except a blank
canvas.
thanks for such a great software.
:-)

A better implementation might be to allow for a toggle for "tool items",
separate from fullscreen. This could be dynamically configured by
individual users to show/hide specific sets. This is as each user might
have slightly different preferences as to what should hide or show.
