Bug Description

Thunderbird notifications for example don't do anything when clicked.

Really frustrating.

Notfication by default unobtrusive in Unity. For persistent notification there is indicator-messages. Thunderbird is already integrated with that. If it is not working for you ask a question in askubuntu.com.

Please see the behavior when I click on the notification; it clicks right through to the application behind.

It doesn't disappear on click.

The highlighted text in the image is a result of furiously clicking the blurred notification window.

Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with clicking notifications. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu has been updated since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1719065
and upload the updated logs and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
