Bug Description

I'm running Ubuntu 17.04. I changed to Gnome classic in the login screen, then logged in, logged out and chose regular Gnome, but I keep logging in Gnome classic every time. A workaround is to run "gnome-shell --mode=user -r" after every login.

Are you using GDM? If so then this is probably a duplicate of bug 1705157 (now fixed in 17.10 only).
