Bug Description
To (try to) reproduce:
Start Windows 8 in VirtualBox
Run the Gnome System Monitor whilst the vm is starting
Try to switch tabs within the Gnome System Monitor
My result: Gnome System Monitor hangs.
Mint 18.2 x64 Cinnamon. Gnome System Monitor 3.18.2-1ubuntu1
