Bug Description
Often when working in inkscape, I find myself wanting
to change somethings perspective. The easiest way would
be to have some kind of envelope tool. When this tool
is selected one could drag the corners and nodes on the
bounding box of the object and the object itself would
transform to conform to the new shape. This would make
effects like perspective and other 3D effects much
easier. CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, and others have
such a capability. It is similar to GIMP's
"perspective" effect or OpenOffice's fontwork shapes.
The new tool would feature:
a) Add Envelope
b) Add Nodes to Envelope
c) change Node Types (curve etc.)
d) Move Nodes (Object Conforms)
e) Accept Changes to form
f) changes are applied, the envelope returns to a
regular rectangle.
