I have encountered a bug in the latest public beta (the 0.90.0.9767 beta released on 20th August). I cannot select a planet after the Astronomical Calculations window has been opened. It does not even work after I have closed the window. Stellarium selects the stars in the background instead.
I hope this is a helpful description.
