Use Windows defaults for workspace/page background colors

I think that this software is really promising. But it
lacks one feature for me -- setting another workspace/
page background for better accessebility. I use
non-white color for window background in my Windows
theme, and I request the possibility to use this
background for Inkspace. (Like in Acrobat Reader ->
Preferences -> Accessebility -> Use Windows color
scheme). Thank you in advance.

If it is implemented as an option, as you point in the end
of your request, then it is fine. But I would implement it
as a default, because Inkscape is to be a drawing tool, and
the black-on-white arrangement is just part of the metaphore.

What it would be fine to do, is that workspace/page colours
were saved as preferences. That way you could set up the
colour you prefer for the program and not have to select it
each time.

this needs to be implmented for accessibility reasons
the default of a white page with black lines can be
extremely painful to look at for people with eye strain.
(this is why text editors have the option to view white text
on black background)

I also agree I would like an option under File --> Inkscape Preferences that would allow me to change the background color of the 'non-working' area of the document (See attached screen shot). Many other Drawing (GIMP) and Document tools (MS Word, Open Office) have a gray background by default.

I have also documented this issue in the inkscape forums and I was advised there to submit it as a 'bug'
